A few words from
Chaplain Mike Foisy ...

I am a retired truck driver. I have been connected with Transport for Christ since the first division was founded in Vancouver and the Fraser Valley in 1966. I had the privilege of driving the first Mobile Chapel that came to British Columbia.

After many years of trucking I again have the great opportunity to work with men and women in the Trucking Industry.

I have experienced the long distances and extended times away from home that are part of the truckers lives.

The drivers want someone that has sympathetic listening skills. They are often coming into the chapels not to be talked to but to be listened to also. Loneliness, family problems, and constant pressure to meet deadlines wear upon the truckers as they spend weeks or months away from home.

Thanks to many God sent volunteers we are seeing truckers come to Christ and many coming into the chapel for fellowship and prayer.

God is the answer to our problems and difficulties.

Our primary calling is to preach the Gospel, and our number one concern is to see that souls are saved through Jesus Christ.

We at Crossroads Truckers Chapel look forward to your visit with us. Every one is welcome.

Chaplain Mike.

Update: On January 10th, 2010 Chaplain Mike passed away from this life to be with the Lord that he loved and faithfully served.

A few words from
Chaplain Dave Giesbrecht ...

I find it an encouragement to share with the Drivers at the Crossroad Chapel at Exit 116 in Chilliwack, meeting the various Drivers, hearing their stories, and their concerns. My prayer is to be a help and encouragement to each one as we share together.

Psalm 118:8 "It is better to trust in the Lord, than to put confidence in man." This Psalm gives the Idea that the Lord is unfailing. Even when surrounded by impossible circumstances the believer can proclaim “The Lord is on our side and if so what can man do to me”.

God Bless, stay between the "white lines". We'll be looking for you to share a coffee.

Chaplain Dave
